Christopher Lant is Professor of Environment and Society at Utah State University. He has been studying water issues since receiving his PhD in Geography from the University of Iowa in 1988, publishing over 50 papers and receiving multiple research grants from the National Science Foundation. He also served as Executive Director of the Universities Council on Water Resources from 2002-2014, was Editor of the Journal of the American Water Resources Association from 1993-2001 and has served as Department Head at Southern Illinois and Utah State Universities.
